Routine or clinical EEG 3840 contains the following parts:
- 22 EEG Channel + 1 ECG Channel Head Box
- Photic stimulator and its cable
- Laptop (with Microsoft Windows XP/Vista/Seven Professional operating system and EEG application software)

- Easy cap (if required)
- Optional video EEG recording (if required)

- Programmable functions include: Montage Manager and figures, Montage Editor, filters, scales, time division, EEG process pattern (stimulator, and HV patterns), review and recording panels, reanalysis tools, video EEG data extraction, ASCII data extraction, editable report generator.
- Event detector and navigator, events summary and navigation at a glance.
- High Quality video recording, analog zoom, time stamp, programmable review speed, data selection and storage, easy annotation and data selection.
- Programmable systems default values such as sample rate, channels number, low and high pass filters, time scales, and sensitivities, annotation, selection, and report texts.
- Test results can be reviewed even electronically or in printed format. User has the opportunity in printing selected parts of the recorded signals.
- Brain Mapping (for selected or whole EEG data).
- Impedance Checking (also available by using a button on the head box).
